Rules and Guidelines for the Weekly Creative Group, CPTSD Foundation

You agree to adhere to all guidelines when participating in the weekly creative group calls. If you have any questions about the guidelines, please use the contact form via the button below. A staff member will reach back out to you via email.

The following rules and guidelines are meant to protect your privacy and to ensure the safety of the group.

  • Names, nicknames or initials will be used during the weekly calls.
  • Confidentiality is a must for every single participant: no discussion of any identifying information about a group member except with that member and other group members during group meetings only.
  • There will be no visitors during, or recordings of, group meetings allowed, except the recordings provided by The Foundation for Post-Traumatic Healing and Complex Trauma Research dba CPTSD Foundation, CPTSD Learning Center and cptsdfoundation.org.
  • There will be no discussion of money or request for monetary support of any kind.
  • There will be no discussion of politics nor the sharing of political artwork.
  • There will be no discussion of religion nor the sharing of non-member created religious artwork. Faith based content is acceptable as long as the participant offers a trigger warning.
  • Group calls and events are never a place to receive crisis care, therapy, diagnosis, or work through trauma memories.
  • Cross-talking, speaking over, or being disrespectful or unkind to other group members is strictly prohibited.
  • Members are encouraged to share and be mindful of space being used.
  • Members are encouraged to receive all communicational feedback from participants and leaders as positive intent.
  • Members are welcome, but not required, to enable and focus their cameras on their artwork only during the call once the facilitator has welcomed everyone and read the rules and guidelines. 
  • Members are encouraged to have fun being themselves through self-expression, allow themselves to be open to things outside learned opinions and false beliefs, to learn and allow self-compassion, self-acceptance and be mindful during the call allowing the reconnection and celebration of your inner child and /or simply relax and unwind.
  • If you have a concern about a weekly creative topic, you must use the contact form on the website to share your concern. An appropriate CPTSD Foundation staff member will respond to you directly. No concerns about a daily call topic are to be addressed publicly, on a daily call, in a CPTSD Foundation group, social media, or any other outlet other than the contact form.
  • You may be removed at any time if any of the following guidelines are not adhered too.
  • If you are removed for any reason listed above, you will not be welcomed back to the group. Also, no refund will be issued to you, as you are required to follow all group guidelines at all times or you forfeit your right to a possible refund.
  • CPTSD Foundation is not crisis care; if you are in crisis, please reach out to an online or local crisis resource or contact your medical or mental health providers.
